On Saturday, Moscow saw its first snowfall of the year. It also saw the season’s first major fur-coat heist in the northeastern part of the city when, at around 8:00pm local time, three men broke into a parked van holding 1.5 million rubles worth of mink coats. Then they broke into the actual store and stole over 50 more. They made off clean with all of the goods, including the car — a Gazelle — for booty totaling nearly 10 million rubles, or just over $300,000. It was also Halloween, celebrated by exactly 4% of Russians.
